§ 86-26. Members; procedure.

(a)

The tree board shall consist of five members appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the city council, and two ex officio members appointed by the city manager. Board members shall serve terms of four years without compensation. A majority of the members shall be a quorum for the transaction of business. Vacancies in office shall be filled by appointment by the city council.

(b)

The board shall elect a chairman and may create and fill other offices and positions as it deems appropriate. The board shall make its own rules of procedures and shall keep minutes of its proceedings, a copy of which shall be provided to the city manager.
